Raue Center For The Arts has announced that Mad River Theatre Works will present Everybody's Hero: The Jackie Robinson Story on January 31, 2014 at 9:30 am. This production is back by popular demand and just in time to kick off African American History Month.

Watch what happens when Branch Rickey decides to add a black person to the Brooklyn Dodgers - a player strong enough to stand up and turn the other cheek to the teammates who would ridicule him, the pitchers who would throw at him and the fans who would send him threats. Join Raue Center for an inspirational tale of triumph and perseverance.

A 30 minute Q&A session will follow the performance.

Everybody's Hero is part of Mission Imagination, Raue Center's arts education program made by the generous support of the Foglia Family Foundation.

Limited seats are open to the public so purchasing tickets in advance is recommended. Tickets are only $20 for adults and $6 for students and can be purchased online at www.rauecenter.org, or via the Box Office at 26 N. Williams Street in Historic Downtown Crystal Lake or by calling 815.356.9212. This show is sponsored by Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital.

A special thank you to Don E. Lewis Family Foundation, Office Depot Foundation, Walmart Foundation, Chicago Tribune Foundation, George A Bates Memorial Foundation, Noorgard Charitable Trust, ComEd, McHenry County Community Foundation and Willow Springs Foundation for their support of this show and the Mission Imagination program at Raue Center. This engagement is supported by the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest, which is generously supported by the National Endowment for the Arts with additional contributions from Raue Center For The Arts (logo attached).
