Lola Rose Productions brings its Lola Diaries sequel to Gorilla Tango Bucktown with "The Lola Diaries: Christmas on Broadway" from today, December 27 through January 4, Fridays and Saturdays at 6 pm. All performances take place at Gorilla Tango Bucktown, 1919 N Milwaukee, Chicago IL, 60647. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at gorillatango.com/bucktown or by calling 773-598-4549.

Set in the late 1940s, The Lola Diaries is a dramatic series of plays created and written by Laura Rose, Artistic Director of Lola Rose Productions. Featured femme-fatale Lola Wants is the epitome of a gorgeous, graceful diva on the outside, but her shattered past haunts her as she climbs further up the ladder of fame and fortune. Benson's writing and portrayal of leading lady Lola invites you to a behind-the-scenes look at just how lonely it can be from the top.

The holidays find Lola just where she wants: centerstage, and on Broadway no less. But in this sequel to Lola Rose Productions' "The Lola Diaries" debut, Lola Wants is again haunted by her past, be it the circumstances she was born into or the choices she made along the way. A cast of ten weaves us in and out of Lola's triumphs and failures, and though holiday musical numbers abound, the noir suspense plot will leave you chilled to the core. Join Lola Wants and her merry band of players for "The Lola Diaries: Christmas on Broadway" -- you won't regret your travels. Lola never does.
