The Kiss Kiss Cabaret promises amazing tricks and tantalizing treats for the Halloween season with the 4th annual "Peek-A-Boo: An Ooky Spooky Burlesque". MCed by Mr. Bones, "Peek-A-Boo: An Ooky Spooky Burlesque" ("Peek-A-Boo") showcases special guests and candy giveaways with Halloween-themed burlesque stripteases. The evening concludes with a show-stopping, glow-in-the-dark number to the song "Red Right Hand" - back by popular demand. This year the "Peek-A-Boo" run is extended past Halloween due to high demand from previous years. "Peek-A-Boo" plays on Fridays, October 4 through November 8 at 11 p.m. at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln. For tickets and information visit www.KissKissCabaret.com.

"This season showcases the best of the best of Kiss Kiss Cabaret," said producer, Jenn A. Kincaid. "We are especially excited to extend the run as we can't get enough of these numbers. And we are also looking forward to hosting Leslie (Zemeckis) on September 27. Her book is a page turner and one of the best histories of the national burlesque movement. We are proud to partner with her for this special event."

For one night only, Friday, Sept. 27, the Kiss Kiss Cabaret presents Leslie Zemeckis, the documentarian/author of "Behind the Burly Q", a history of the golden age of burlesque with stories told in the dancers' original voices. Patrons can choose to purchase a ticket and the book at a special rate ($35) as well as attend a book signing and meet the author. Staff from The Book Stall will be onhand to sell copies of the book at $29.99 before the show and during intermission.

Kiss Kiss Cabaret was voted best burlesque troupe in the Chicago Reader's 2013 Best of Chicago poll and is Chicago's longest running weekly burlesque/comedy performance presenting a crowd-pleasing, modern spin on the classic vaudeville show. The Kiss Kiss Cabaret features burlesque strip teases, bawdy comedy and inventive variety performers including jugglers, musicians and magicians. Every performance features a rotating cast of performers and is different each week.

The stars of the show are the "The Kiss Kiss Coquettes" which include Bella Canto, Deja Sue, Elle Rioux, Eva LaFeva, Helena Handbasket, Melody Unchained, Minnie Minx, Naughty Natanya, and Vivi Valens. The Coquettes regularly perform in Chicago and around the world in shows such as "Plan 9 Burlesque", "Varietease Cabaret" and "The Belmont Burlesque Revue". The Coquettes also regularly perform at burlesque festivals around the country from Las Vegas to New York and everywhere in between.

Complementing the dancers are a host of hilarious variety performers including magic and comedy by The Amazing Tomas and "That Juggling Guy" Brad French. The Master of Ceremonies duties are fully improvised by the Flattery brothers; Max (portrayed by Chris O. Biddle), Les (played by J. Ben Parker) and Scratch (performed by Mark Henderson). Comedy songs for the show are performed by the Claptrap Family Orchestra featuring Ken Raabe on guitar and Mazurka Wojciechowska on the accordion.

KKC is the brainchild of producers Biddle and Kincaid. In 2009, they created a five-week run for a Halloween-themed show called "Peek-A-Boo". The positive audience reaction inspired Biddle and Kincaid to create the open-run show which premiered in February, 2011. The Kiss Kiss Cabaret is also available to be booked at parties, events and private functions.

The Kiss Kiss Cabaret is an open run, Fridays at 11 p.m. at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N.
