Home Run Inn (HRI), Chicago's Premium Thin-Crust Pizza, invites you to enjoy the warm weather and step "outside" of the kitchen to entertain family and friends. Fire up your outdoor grill for a tasty summer barbeque bringing out the very best of the cheesy flavor and crispy crust of Home Run Inn's frozen "Classic," "Signature," and "Ultra Thin" varieties.

"Grilling Home Run Inn frozen pizzas on a gas or charcoal grill is an easy and economical way to serve your family or a party," says HRI Executive Chef Jeff Hursh. "Start with a plain cheese, sausage or pepperoni pizza and make your own creations," such as:

BBQ Beef Brisket, an Ultra Thin Cheese topped with thinly-sliced beef and smoked Gouda;
Brats & Kraut, starting with a Classic Cheese;
Muffaletta (New Orleans Style), a Classic Sausage Pepperoni topped with green and black olives, pepperoncini and chopped roasted red peppers;
Surfs Up, a Classic Cheese topped with fresh shrimp and crabmeat; and
Chicken Kabob, a Classic Cheese topped with shredded chicken, spinach leaves, tomatoes, peppers and kalamata olives, served with a cucumber, yogurt sauce...to name just a few.

Chef Hursh recommends the following steps for grilling any one of your own masterpieces, or for a Home Run Inn pizza, just as it is!

Gas Grill Instructions

o Preheat to medium direct heat (400 °F) and place the frozen pizza directly on the center of the grill.
o Ultra Thin Pizzas: With all burners on, cook pizza with lid closed for 6-8 minutes. Rotate pizza halfway and cook 6-8 additional minutes with lid closed.
o Classic & Signature Pizzas: Set the two outside burners on medium or medium-high heat and the middle burner turned to off or low heat.
Cook pizza with lid closed for 12- 15 minutes. Rotate pizza halfway and cook with lid closed for a final 12-15 minutes.

Charcoal Grill Instructions

o Place 25-30 briquettes on the outside of the grill to create indirect heat. Place the frozen pizza directly on the center of the grill. (Don't place your pizza directly
above briquettes-it will burn!)
o Ultra Thin Pizzas: Cook with lid closed for 6-8 minutes. Rotate pizza halfway and cook with lid closed for a final 6-8 minutes.
o Classic & Signature Pizzas: Cook pizza with lid closed for 12-15 minutes. Rotate pizza halfway, and cook with lid closed for a final 12-15 minutes.

Visit Home Run Inn on Facebook, and enter the "Show Us Your Grill" contest from Tuesday, May 31 until Thursday, June 9. Provide a photo of your old grill for a change to win a $1000 gift card to your favorite home improvement store and a brand new outdoor grill valued at $1000. After finalists are announced and a public vote is held, a winner will be named on Monday, June 20.
