Do you have fond memories of being a Wagon Leader in 1848? Did you contract Cholera, break an arm for no apparent reason, and haggle with a Hungarian for an unheard of amount of bullets? Were you the kid who penned the epitaph"Here lies BriansMomisHot, dead of measles"? Then this show is for you!
THE OREGON TAIL BURLESQUE: YOU HAVE DIED OF SEXY is the latest offering from Gorilla Tango Burlesque and a retro film noir send-up of the classic educational video game from the 1970s. The original game, developed by Don Rawitsch, Bill Heinemann, and Paul Dillenberger and produced by the Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium, was designed to teach school children about the realities of 19th century pioneer life on the Oregon Trail. A staple of schools since, Oregon Trail featured such "typical" pioneering hardships as getting oxen stolen, starvation, and tragic drowning, as well as the now infamous death announcement: "You Have Died of Dysentery." Gorilla Tango Burlesque's version, however throws sexy ladies and a Film Noir murder mystery into the mix, to make this the most INTERESTING trek West ever!
Says Director Sabrina Harper (director/writer of the smash hit "Sweetie Maude"), "This is my first burlesque and I am loving it. For this show, we've incorporated a blend of classic music with a twist of 80 fitness rock. If you think back fondly on playing the video game as a kid, or just like to see some silly pioneer inspired boobies, you'll love this show!"
While the video game caters to the school age crowd, THE OREGON TAIL BURLESQUE: YOU HAVE DIED OF SEXY is most definitely 18 and over only.
