AstonRep Theatre Company will launch its 2014-15 season with Martin McDonagh's black comedy THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE, directed by Company Member Derek Bertelsen, playing October 23 - November 23, 2014 at The Raven Theatre (West Stage), 6157 N. Clark St. in Chicago. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 1, 2014 at www.astonrep.com or by calling (773) 828-9129. The press opening is Sunday, October 26 at 3:30 pm.

THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE will feature AstonRep Company Members Tim Larson and Robert Tobin with Matthew Harris, Scott Olson, Chadwick Sutton, Nora Lise Ulrey (2014 Jeff Award, The Children's Hour), John Wehrman and Scott Wolf.

THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE is set in 1993 when the Northern Ireland peace process is struggling to come together and Mad Padraic, a member of the Irish National Liberation Army, chooses to leave Belfast and return to Inishmore upon the news that his beloved cat is ill. When he returns home he learns that his cat has in fact suffered a much more tragic and immediate fate. Padraic, a man whose mentally instability is legendary, is now intent on revenge at any costs.
