The Trail To Oregon
Three free performances: 6:30 p.m. July 14 at Gifford Pinchot State Park, Conewago Day Use Area; 6:30 p.m. July 15, John Rudy County Park; and 3 p.m. July 16, St. John's Episcopal Church, 140 N. Beaver St., York.
Join Upstart Arts for its first musical production, The Trail to Oregon! The free show, originally produced by Star Kid Productions, plays off the Oregon Trail video game, following a family moving from Illinois to Oregon in 1840, complete with a wagon fire, a bandit king and ox, buffalo, rabbits and more. Plus, the audience gets to name the characters and vote on which one will die from dysentery at the end of the trail -- all in good fun, of course! The show is full of fun, fast songs with quick choreography and a couple of ballads for the singers to belt out. Come see who makes it to Oregon and who gets lost along the trail!
