Mariah Carey, who last season sat on the American Idol judges panel alongside Randy Jackson, Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj, told Hot 97 yesterday that her experience on the show was like "going to work every day in hell with Satan." Watch the interview below!

The Grammy winning superstar, who fought with Minaj throughout last season of the singing competition added, I'm just playing. It didn't affect me that much - I was just disappointed."

While she didn't enjoy her time on the show, she did have positive things to say about the contestants who she interacted with. "I loved the contestants. And some of them that were so good - and really good people, you could tell - it was disappointing when they would, for political reason, not put people through. I'm like, 'I don't need to sit here and do this.' I would prefer to just put this person in the studio, record a record with them. Or tell another producer, 'Yo, you should produce this artist because they're beautiful, they can sing, they're talented.' "

Needless to say, Carey will not return to Idol for its upcoming season. In her place will be Harry Connick Jr., and the return of judges Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.
