The first footage from the VERONICA MARS movie has been revealed. Click below to watch the reel presented at San Diego Comic-Con on July 19th, featuring behind-the-scenes footage and the first trailer for the film! Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, and the rest of the cast show VERONICA MARS fans a little bit of what's coming to theaters in early 2014.

It was also unveiled yesterday at the VERONICA MARS panel in San Diego that iconic actress, Jamie Lee Curtis, had boarded the big-screen adaptation of the cult CW show in the role of Veronica's prospective employer at a law firm. Curtis and Kristen Bell previously worked together on the marginally-successful YOU AGAIN in 2010. Curtis' role seems small - a few minutes of screentime at best - but other sources note that the audience ate up the snippet of footage featured.

The MARS movie became one of the most successful Kickstarter projects in history this March, raising over $5.7 million - thanks to the show's cult following, the film hit its goal of $2 million in just half-a-day into the one-month deadline.

At the time, Thomas outlined a portion of the film's potential plot, writing: "Life has taken Veronica away from Neptune. In the years since spoiling Keith's chances to be reelected sheriff, Veronica hasn't taken a case. But something big is about to bring her back home and back to her calling. My goal is to include as many of your favorite characters as possible. It is, after all, time for Veronica's 10-year High School reunion."

Production on the MARS movie wraps Monday, with an early 2014 theatrical release scheduled. For more about the movie, go to: www.theveronicamarsmovie.com.
