Earlier this morning at a press event at Youtube Space LA, Youtube announced Youtube Red, a paid membership that lets users enjoy videos across all of Youtube without ads, while also letting you save videos to watch offline on your phone or tablet and play videos in the background, all for $9.99 a month. Youtube Red membership extends across devices and anywhere you sign into YouTube, including the recently launched Youtube Gaming app and a brand new Youtube Music app, also announced today.

The Youtube Music app is designed to make discovering, watching and listening to music easier than ever. Any song or artist you choose on Youtube Music will start you on a personal journey through one of the richest music catalogs; just sign in, tap a track you love, and see where your music takes you.

Lastly - as part of today's event, Youtube provided an update around Youtube Originals, an initiative that will generate new, ambitious content from popular creators including PewDiePie, Fine Bros., Rooster Teeth and Lilly Singh aka IISuperwomanII, and many more in 2016.

The details around all these announcements are highlighted in two blogs on the YouTube Official Blog.
