The season kicks off with Aisha Tyler, star of Archer, Criminal Minds, Whose Line Is It Anyway? and host of The Talk, as she dives fearlessly into her mother's family history, tracking down the story of a man that had been lost over generations. She uncovers the astonishing tale of a prominent ancestor whose struggle to keep his illegitimate son a secret made headlines, and the impressive story of her two times great-grandfather, who dove headlong into controversy, and left a mark so great that he is commemorated today by one of America's capital cities.
