Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren discussed the upcoming midterm elections, saying that "it's going to be ugly out there if the Republicans take control," in an interview that was broadcast live today, Oct. 28, 2014 on CBS THIS MORNING (7:00-9:00 AM) on the CBS Television Network.

Warren told co-hosts Charlie Rose, Norah O'Donnell and Gayle King that the election is really about "whose side do you stand on." She said that she disagrees with the Boston Globe's decision to endorse Republican Charlie Baker for governor, telling CBS News, "I think they're wrong on this."

Warren also discussed the Ebola epidemic and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's involuntary quarantine policy.

"He should bring out the scientists who are advising him on that, because we know we want to be led by the science," Warren said of Christie. "That's what's going to keep people safe – science, not politics."

She said that the Republicans have cut funding to Ebola research. "So now we're in a position where instead of making those investments upfront, we wait until people die," Warren said.

Warren added, "We can't just run this country one crisis to another."
