The CW's ONE TREE HILL Finale Earns Season's Highest Ratings

Last night's special two-hour series finale of ONE TREE HILL gave The CW its highest rated Wednesday night among women 18-34 (1.4/4) in more than a year (since 2/23/11), according to preliminary Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, April 4, 2012.

Last night matched season high Wednesday night ratings in adults 18-34 (0.9/3), adults 18-49 (0.8/2) and women 18-49 (1.1/3). It was The CW's best Wednesday night in adults 18-34 since premiere week (9/14/11), and best adults 18-49 and women 18-49 ratings since 12/7/11.

Versus Wednesday of this same week last year, last night was up 50% in adults 18-34, 40% in women 18-34 and 33% in adults 18-49.

Week to week, last night was up 29% in adults 18-34, 27% in women 18-34 and 14% in adults 18-49.

ONE TREE HILL has now spent four seasons exploring the experiences of twenty-somethings. Season nine continued to grow and break new ground, as the show approacheed the rarified air of 200 episodes. The series stars James Lafferty as Nathan Scott, Sophia Bush as Brooke Davis, Bethany Joy Galeotti as Haley James Scott, RoBert Buckley as Clay Evans, Austin Nichols as Julian Baker, Shantel VanSanten as Quinn James and Jackson Brundage as Jamie Scott.
