TV One explores what happens when traditional family values collide with the modern-day digital age in its latest original movie WELCOME TO THE FAMILY premiering tonight, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET. Reuniting Half & Half co-stars Valarie Pettiford (Born Again Virgin, One Life to Live) and Telma Hopkins (Are We There Yet?), the film also stars Kali Hawk (Couples Retreat, Bridesmaids, Black Jesus, The Game), B.J. Britt (Being Mary Jane, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), James Black (Anger Management, Six Feet Under), Chelsea Tavares (Make It or Break It), Glenn Plummer (Sons of Anarchy, ER, South Central) and Brooklyn McLinn (Friends with Benefits).

Welcome to the Family centers on Stella, an internet producer (Kali Hawk), who has to learn how to balance her personal and professional lives. She utilizes her family reunion to not only reveal her engagement to fiancée Quinton (B.J. Britt), but also to prove she can host her own web series. Stella is blinded by her own ambition, as each family member's antics and escapades hit the World Wide Web. Caught up in the world of media mania and surrounded by a crazy cast of relatives, Stella learns that her fiancée Quinton is her cousin. Captured by cameras for the world to see, the couple's relationship is thrown into turmoil as Stella's web series turns into a social media hit.

"Welcome to the Family is a humorous take on real-life scenarios of today's reality-TV-nation and will provide viewers with relatable situations and laugh-out-loud family moments," said D'Angela Proctor, TV One's SVP of original programming and production. "As our heroine looks to LEVERAGE her own cult-of-personality in this digital social age, she discovers that fame means nothing without family."

Welcome to the Family is directed by Alton Glass and written by Cas Sigers Beedles. It is produced for TV One by Stan Spry and Eric Woods of The Cartel. For TV One, Robyn Greene Arrington, vice president of original programming, serves as executive-in-charge of production; Donyell McCullough as senior director of talent and casting; Lamar Chase as producer; and D'Angela Proctor is TV One's head of original programming.
