Telemundo Signs Top Sponsors for 5th Annual PREMIOS TU MUNDO

Telemundo today announced the sponsors of its highly anticipated sixth annual PREMIOS TU MUNDO ("Your World Awards"), the only entertainment award show on Spanish-language TV exclusively based on fan votes. This year's all-star lineup of sponsors includes Allstate, Cricket Wireless, Ford Motor Company, L'Oréal Paris, Walmart and Western Union. "Premios Tu Mundo" returns to the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, and will be broadcast live on Telemundo on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT, with a lead-in, one-hour pre-show special "La Alfombra de Premios Tu Mundo" at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT. Last year's show made Telemundo the #1 Spanish-language network during primetime among adults 18-49. Furthermore, during the three-hour simulcast on Telemundo and Universo, the show ranked as the #1 broadcast program for social media engagement across all networks and program types.

Celebrating its sixth anniversary with "Premios Tu Mundo," Allstate returns with "Mala Suerte" ("Bad Luck"), revealing to viewers how the Effie-award winning character adds his mischievous touch to the storylines of Telemundo's most popular primetime protagonists. As usual, "Mala Suerte" will present Allstate's custom award category "Protagonista Favorito Con Mala Suerte" ("Favorite Protagonist with Bad Luck"). Leading up to the ceremony, "Mala Suerte" will appear on "Un Nuevo Día," will have a custom voting web driver and tune-in promoting his participation in this year's show. The character will also make his appearance on "Suelta La Sopa" the following day to recount his mischievous deeds during the show.

Creating a fully interactive experience, Cricket Wireless will sponsor a series of Facebook Live streams before, during and after the show featuring Telemundo talent, bringing fans all the entertainment and the celebrities they love. On the day of and the day after the show, Cricket Wireless will run custom Snapchat interstitials featuring Telemundo stars Ximena Duque and David Chocarro, along with Cricket's newest premium device, the Alcatel PULSEMIX™.

Ford Motor Company continues to support Telemundo's award shows with its sponsorship of the "Premios Tu Mundo" Artista Pop Favorito Por iHeartRadio (Favorite Pop Artist by iHeartRadio) award this year. Before the presentation of the award, Ford's car lineup will be showcased through a custom teaser, and a congratulatory branded graphic will appear when the award recipient is announced.

Returning for their fifth year as the official beauty sponsor, L'Oréal Paris will bring last year's "Social Influencer of the Year" winner, Sandra Cires, to attend the blue carpet on the brand's behalf. As a prelude to the presentation of the "Protagonista Favorita" award ("Favorite Protagonist"), a video skit will show Ana Lorena Sanchez of Telemundo's "Gran Oportunidad" undergoing a series of dramatic makeup transformations that resemble different Telemundo series' protagonists. She will then present the winner of the award and a L'Oréal Paris branded graphic will appear on screen congratulating the recipient.

Returning for their fourth year as the exclusive retail sponsor, Walmart will show how it is the go-to brand for moms everywhere. Scarlet Ortiz, a Telemundo mom, will walk the blue carpet to talk about her most important role: being a mother. She'll also discuss the importance of teaching confidence to her child and how her little one is ready to begin the school year, thanks to Walmart. In a commercial break, an on-air vignette will show Scarlet talking about the excitement of raising her kid to be a superhero. Walmart will also present the "El Poder En Ti" award, which will honor an artist who uses his or her fame and fortune for social good.

Together with global payments company Western Union, Telemundo will create multiple stunts around "Premios Tu Mundo," centered on an acoustic performance called "El Vato: Off the Record" featuring El Dasa, star of Universo's "El Vato." Through this campaign, Western Union will take the "Premios Tu Mundo" audience on a journey through the Hispanic passion point of music. The day before the award show, El Dasa will perform in an intimate, acoustic performance via Facebook Live, and earlier that morning, a segment on "Un Nuevo Día" will showcase the performance and air a special message from El Dasa to drive viewers to watch the Facebook Live. He will also walk the blue carpet to discuss the second season of "El Vato" and his acoustic performance. During the main show, a custom vignette featuring El Dasa and his dog, Benito, will air showing how quick and easy it is to use the Western Union app.

"Premios Tu Mundo" combines the power of television, web, mobile and social media platforms to give fans the final say in everything that moves and inspires them. Fans will select their favorite actors, musical artists, TV personalities, fan clubs and influencers from 20 competing categories, making the winners a true reflection of the people's choice.

Telemundo's "Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso" tops this year's nominees list with a total of 12 nominations. Taking the lead in the acting category, with three nominations each, are Carolina Gaitán from "Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso," Carlos Ponce from "La Fan," and David Chocarro from "La Doña." In the music category, Latin American pop BOY BAND CNCO leads with three nominations. Other top music nominees include Chino y Nacho, Luis Fonsi and Shakira. "Premios Tu Mundo" nominees were selected by a panel of top industry professionals. The diverse list of categories includes: Perfect On-Screen Couple, Favorite Female/Male Villain, I'm Sexy and I Know It, Fan Club of the Year and Favorite Influencer, among others. The highly anticipated award show will feature performances by CNCO, Yandel, Gerardo Ortiz, Ozuna, Jencarlos and Olga Tañon. "Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso" lead actress Carmen Villalobos, "Un Nuevo Dia" co-host Daniel Sarcos and "El Señor de los Cielos" lead actress Fernanda Castillo will share hosting duties at the popular award ceremony.
