THIS WEEK WITH GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS Scores Largest Sweep Audience in Nearly 5 Years

For the November 2013 Sweep, "This Week" drew 2.911 million Total Viewers and 787,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. The ABC public affairs program posted double-digit increases over the previous sweep (2.304 million and 641,000 for July 2013) in both Total Viewers (+26%) and Adults 25-54 (+23%). In fact, "This Week" drew its largest overall sweeps audience in nearly 5 years - since February 2009.

For the 3rd November in a row, "This Week" was up over the year-ago sweep in Total Viewers (+1% - 2.871 million on November 2013), delivering its most-watched November in 5 years - since November 2008.

Competitively, "This Week" beat NBC's "Meet the Press" during the 2013 November sweep in Adults 25-54 (+21,000) to claim its first sweeps victory over the NBC program in more than 20 years - since July 1993.

On November 24, 2013, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" averaged 3.409 million Total Viewers and 876,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" improved over the previous Sunday for the 2nd straight week (2.824 million and 799,000, respectively, on 11/17/13) in both Total Viewers (+21%) and Adults 25-54 (+10%). In fact, "This Week" delivered its most-watched telecast in more than 4 1/2 years - since 2/22/09.

"This Week" surged on its year-ago performance in both Total Viewers (+48%) and Adults 25-54 (+30%) - 2.303 million and 673,000, respectively, on 11/25/12.

Season to date, "This Week" is up in Total Viewers (+7%) versus its year-ago season average, delivering its most-watched season in 5 years - since the 2008-09 season.

NOTE: NBC's "Meet the Press" was pre-empted due to Formula 1 racing.
