THE FOSTERS is supposed to be a hectic one tonight. Callie is overwhelmed with Brandon's rejection, Robert's BETRAYAL and Wyatt's return, and Mariana is supposedly dealing with relationship issues.

The episode started with Stef helping Callie by going to Kiara's foster home. There, they find her locked away in a room with her daughter and another child, hiding from a crazed man with a knife. Callie ran into Wyatt during school, and she tried to talk to him, but he is so not interested in having a conversation with her, which I understand, but he didn't have to be as rude as he was regardless of how high he was. Lena and Timothy shared a nice lunch together, and that was so much fun to see. I'm glad to see that they've buried the hatchet. Hayley's upset about Jesus missing her dance performance and he told her about Anna's pregnancy and asked her not to tell Mariana (I don't think she'll keep the secret, in case you were wondering). He thinks that the baby might be Mike's...as in Stef's ex husband and Brandon's father Mike. Oh, boy.

Mariana gets transferred into an advanced math class where she talks to Emma, her brother's ex girlfriend. She tells Emma that she and her brother are nothing alike and that she likes her way better than Hayley (I agree 100%, Mariana). Emma let Mariana know that her relationship with Jesus didn't end because of Hayley. It was the fact that Emma was tutoring him in math that ended their relationship. Brandon tried to convince his parents to let him tour with his band over the summer again, and his dad and Lena are heavily against it, but Stef thinks it isn't that bad of an idea. Jesus saw Mike when he came home and became very awkward and went upstairs. Brandon and Callie discussed his options for the summer once again, and she agreed not to tell their parents about the scholarship. Stef and Lena let Jesus know (unaware that he's already seen her) that if he wanted to see Anna again, he was allowed to as long as he went to a support group for kids with addicted parents. When Brandon encouraged him to go, he got roped into going with him. Stef questioned the child protection service officer and he tells her that Kiara would be sent back to her foster home. Devastated, Kiara doesn't know what to do.

Lena and the principal discussed the school's standardized test scores. Mariana had the highest math score in the school, and English scores weren't where they needed to be. Lena was asked to talk to Timothy, who is head of the English department, which made her uncomfortable. Mariana was showing her boyfriend a few dance moves but then had to leave for STEM (an academic class, or something, I'm guessing) and he said he should join too because he did really well on the math test. Remembering what Emma said about Jesus, she told him she had a lower score than he did. Kiara and Callie went to a foster child support center to try to get help, to no avail. Stef and Mike visited Kiara's foster parents and Stef went a little overboard with the interrogation. Lena had a chat with the principal about Mariana not wanting to be recognized at the assembly the next day. Wyatt and Callie had a conversation about how he only returned for her. She told him about possibly having to live with Robert and he suggested they take off again.

When Lena tried to talk to Mariana in front of her boyfriend, things did not go so smoothly. A few minutes later after he left, Lena told her daughter not to play small for anyone. This was such a nice scene to see. I always like seeing Lena connect with her kids. Meanwhile, Brandon and Jesus ditch the support group to bond as brothers where Jesus finally told Brandon about his Hayley tattoo (that I totally forgot he had). Callie's worried about having to see Robert and Sophia again and talks to Kiara about it.

Callie seemingly convinced Wyatt not to leave and to finish high school. Lena finally talked to Timothy about the curriculum and he did not want to change his teaching style. Monty said that if he didn't at least try to be open-minded about it, then they should fire him. Stef and Mike were able to scare Kiara's foster parents' landlord into evicting them (at least that's what I think happened). Unfortunately, when Stef went to give Kiara the hopeful news she found a letter on her bed saying that she ran away. Mariana apologized to Mat for lying about her test scores and their relationship went right back to normal. Stef discussed becoming partners with Mike again with Lena, but she is reluctant to give an answer. They also talk about Brandon's tour again and are surprised that their views on the matter had switched. Callie went back to the foster child support center to offer to volunteer there. I'm really excited to see her work with kids who are in the situations she has been through. I think it will be a great experience for her.
