Showtime will debut the previously announced acquired documentary ROMAN POLANSKI: ODD MAN OUT for its U.S. television premiere on Friday, September 27 at 9:00 PM ET /PT.

The critically-acclaimed film examines the controversy which surrounded the celebrated director's arrest at the 2009 Zurich Film Festival and his subsequent 10 month imprisonment. Emmy Award-winning director Marina Zenovich (RICHARD PRYOR: OMIT THE LOGIC), who also serves as narrator, explores the bizarre clash of politics, celebrity justice and media overload as she sheds new light on Polanski's sexual assault case and his escape from under Swiss house arrest.

ROMAN POLANSKI: ODD MAN OUT serves as a follow-up to Zenovich's previous film Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired, which some say was one of the reasons for his arrest. The film premiered to critical acclaim at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival before playing the New York Film Festival and the Zurich Film Festival, where much of the film takes place. ROMAN POLANKSI: ODD MAN OUT was written by P.G. Morgan, Chris A. Peterson and Zenovich. Lila Yacoub and Zenovich served as producers. Executive producers include Steven Soderbergh, Randy Wooten, Michael Roban and Stephan Paternot.
