'I CAN DO THAT' EQUALS NBC'S HIGHEST DEBUT RATING FOR A SUMMER ALTERNATIVE SERIES IN 18-49 SINCE 'AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR' THREE YEARS AGO

NBC SWEEPS 6 OF 6 HALF-HOURS IN ADULTS 18-49 AMONG THE BIG 4

Tuesday Results:

NBC won Tuesday night among the Big 4 in every key measure, as the #1 and #2 shows of the night in all key demographics, "America's Got Talent" and "I Can Do That," swept six of six half-hours among the Big 4 in adults 18-49

The season premiere of "America's Got Talent" (2.6/9 in 18-49, 10.9 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) grew +8% versus last summer's finale in 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.4 from 8-10:L01 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014), and is running within 0.4 of a point or 13% of the show's year-ago debut (3.0/9 from 8-10:01 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2013).

The 2.6 for "Talent" last night equals or beats 13 of 15 Tuesday telecasts last summer in 18-49.

"America's Got Talent" ranked as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 in every key measure (adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers).

From its first hour to its second, last night's telecast grew by +17% in adults 18-49 (2.4 to 2.8).

The debut of "I Can Do That" (1.8/6 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) matched NBC's top summer premiere for an alternative series in three years, since "American Ninja Warrior" debuted with a 2.4 on May 21, 2012 (equaling over that span the 1.8 of "The Winner Is..." from 10:01-11 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013).

"I Can Do That" finished #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure and is currently matching the ABC-CBS competition combined in 18-49 (1.8 vs. 0.9 each for ABC's "Extreme Weight Loss" season premiere in that hour and CBS's "48 Hours" encore).

"I Can Do That" ranked as the #2 telecast of the night on the Big 4 in every key demographic, behind only "America's Got Talent."

For the Week:

With "The Voice" delivering the #1 and 2 ratings of the week among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks, NBC has tied for #1 for the week of May 18-24 in adults 18-49 and won the week outright among the Big 4 networks in adults 25-54 and other key measures. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 1.2 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers overall for the week.

Tuesday's "Voice" season finale ranked #1 among primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX last week and Monday's final competition episode finished #2.

Joining those two "Voice" telecasts in the week's top 30 primetime Big 4 programs were Tuesday's encore "Voice" recap (tied for #12), Wednesday's "Chicago P.D." (tied for #16), Wednesday's "Law & Order: SVU" (tied for #16), Monday's "The Night Shift" (tied for #24) and Wednesday's "The Mysteries of Laura" (#30). Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.

Tuesday's "Voice" finale also ranked #1 among primetime shows on the Big 4 last week in adults, men and women 25-54; men and women 18-49; and men 18-34.

For the 52-week 2014-15 season to date, NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 as well as men 18-49 and adults and men 18-34.

In total viewers, NBC is #2 for the season, and running within 7% of its year-ago Olympics-boosted average (8.6 million vs. 9.2 million), making this season and last NBC's two top-scoring seasons in total viewers at this point since the 2006-07 season. This is the second year in a row NBC has ranked #2 in total viewers at this point in the season, marking first two times since 2003-04 that NBC has ranked higher than #4 in total viewers at this point.
