Season Finale of ABC's THE MIDDLE Scores 6-Week Highs in Viewers & Young Adults

For the 3rd straight week, all 4 of ABC's Tuesday comedies beat out their respective FOX and NBC comedy competition in each half-hour from 8:00-10:00 p.m. At 8:00 p.m., ABC's season finale of THE MIDDLE stood as Tuesday's No. 1 comedy and head to head defeated Fox's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" by 86% in the slot with Adults 18-49 (1.3/6 vs. 0.7/3). "The Middle" grew week to week in Total Viewers (+8% - 5.4 million vs. 5.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (+8% - 1.3/6 vs. 1.2/5), drawing its biggest audience in 6 weeks and tying a 6-week high in young adults - since 4/4/17.

At 8:30 p.m., ABC's "American Housewife" season finale doubled Fox's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" in the half-hour with Adults 18-49 (+100% - 1.2/5 vs. 0.6/2). "American Housewife" was up week to week in Total Viewers (+2% - 4.4 million vs. 4.3 million) and even in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5), equaling its most watched telecast in 4 weeks - since 4/18/17.

At 9:00 p.m., ABC's season closer of ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat" beat NBC's "The Voice"-led "Great News" in the slot by 43% in Adults 18-49 (1.0/4 vs. 0.7/3). The ABC comedy grew to a 4-week high in Total Viewers (+3% - 3.5 million vs. 3.4 million - since 4/18/17) and remained even in Adults 18-49 (1.0/4).

At 9:30 p.m., ABC's "Imaginary Mary" finale outdelivered NBC's "Great News" by 33% in the half-hour in Adults 18-49 (0.8/3 vs. 0.6/2).

At 10:00 p.m., "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season finale held even with its week-ago L+SD Adults 18-49 rating (0.7/3). "S.H.I.E.L.D." Is Tuesday's No. 1 Top Gainer in L+3 and L+7 Day: Season to date, "S.H.I.E.L.D." is Tuesday's biggest gainer in TV Playback in Adults 18-49 on the major nets, jumping over its L+SD rating by +100% in Live + 3 Day and +129% in Live + 7 Day.
