Sean Patrick Thomas Joins Cast of CW Pilot THE SELECTION

As first reported in The Hollywood Reporter, actor Sean PatRick Thomas has joined the cast of the upcoming CW drama pilot THE SELECTION. The actor joins previously announced cast members Ethan Peck, grandson of actor Gregory Peck, and Aimee Teegarden.  Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain will write and executive produce the drama from Warner Bros. Television.

The actor has appeared in film in 'Save the Last Dance'. His TV credits include the long-running drama series 'Friday Night Lights as well as The CW's Ringer, Lifetime's 'Army Wives' and the CBS drama, 'The District'. 

THE SELECTION tells the tale of "an epic romance set 300 years in the future in which a poor young woman is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads." Thomas will portray Sylvan Santos, described as "a close adviser to the current queen and an expert in royal etiquette who advises the participants in the competition."
