Award winning actress and filmmaker Deirdre Lorenz releases Santorini Blue, a new breakout international independent film featuring NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit stars Ice-T, Dann Florek, Diane Neal and Richard Belzer, and includes rising stars Deirdre Lorenz and Matthew Panepinto in the leading roles. The film, being released domestically through Osiris Entertainment and internationally through Artist View Entertainment, is already an instant success, garnering support from fans worldwide. Amazon's complete DVD stock sold out nationwide of the new indie film favorite before its June 11 release date.

Filmed in New York City and Santorini, Greece, Santorini Blue is a prize winning feature film. It also stars Coco (Vegas Peep Show), Taylor Negron (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Fast Times at Ridgemont High) and Clark Johnson (The Wire, Homicide, SWAT). The tender drama addresses the long-aged question: How far would you go to win love back? The answer is a surprising one, filled with unexpected twists and turns. From the tenacious streets of New York to the sapphire seas of Santorini, Greece, Santorini Blue interweaves viewers in its rhapsody of love and heartbreak.

Produced by Lorenz through her independent company, Thira Films LLC, Santorini Blue was directed by Panepinto and co-written by Panepinto and Lorenz, who play the lead roles of Felix and Alexandra.Lorenz has appeared in numerous film and TV roles including El Cantante, Scavenger Killers, Snapshot, Law & Order: SVU, and 30 Rock, and starred in a sold out NYC run of the dramatic play "Ahoy, Abel Brown!" She studied Drama at Stella Adler Studios and Ensemble Studios Theatre, and Improv at The Peoples Improv Theatre. Lorenz has been cast in several upcoming projects, and she just wrote, directed and acted in a dramatic tv pilot through her new company Lookout Point Films LLC. Panepinto and Lorenz produced several short films with the Law & Order: SVU actors before pitching them the Santorini Blue film idea. Panepinto worked as a production assistant on L&O: SVU for over 3 years, and Lorenz acted on the TV show in the role of undercover detective Nina Gardner.

Santorini Blue is already a hit with critics and audiences at festivals, winning the coveted Audience Choice Award for Best of the Festival at Hoboken International Film Festival, Breckenridge Film Festival (tied for 3 rd) and NYC Downtown Film Festival.The film received Eugene International Film Festival's Board Choice Award, and Official Selection at Connecticut Film Festival and Toronto Independent Film Festival.
