NIGHTLINE's Friday Edition is Week's Top Telecast in Total Viewers

ABC News' "Nightline" drew 1.559 million Total Viewers, 635,000 Adults 25-54 and 490,000 Adults 18-49 for the week of April 21, 2014, according to Nielsen Media Research. The ABC late night program ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers for the 2nd week in a row and 3rd time in the last 4 weeks. "Nightline" outdrew NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" by its largest Total Viewer margin ever (+48,000) during a week of original telecasts.

"Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show" in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+199,000), Adults 25-54 (+59,000) and Adults 18-49 (+69,000).

For the 2nd time in the last 3 weeks, "Nightline" posted across-the-board year-to-year increases (1.500 million, 622,000 and 472,000 on w/o 4/22/13) in Total Viewers (+4%), Adults 25-54 (+2%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%).

For the 2nd week in a row, "Nightline" aired the No. 1 telecast of the week in Total Viewers (1.704 million on Friday, 4/25/14), outdrawing all the week's telecasts of NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and CBS' "The Late Late Show."

Season to date, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" across the board: Total Viewers (+221,000), Adults 25-54 (+66,000) and Adults 18-49 (+30,000).

ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Dan Harris, Dan Abrams, and Juju Chang. Almin Karamehmedovic is executive producer. The program airs weeknights from 12:35-1:00 a.m., ET on the ABC Television Network. Together with "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Nightline" is part of ABC's winning late night strategy of airing news and entertainment programming.
