NBC's REVOLUTION Matches Its High Since April

NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in 18-49 and every other key category, with an 87 percent margin over #2 in 18-49 (with a 2.8 rating vs. a 1.5 for ABC), winning six of six half-hours. "The Voice" and "Revolution" ranked as the #1 and #2 shows of the night on those networks in 18-49.

From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (3.2 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall) won its time period in every key demographic among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, leading the slot in 18-49 by a margin of 88 percent versus ABC's "Bachelorette" (3.2 vs. 1.7). "The Voice" is currently matching the prior week's 3.2 in official nationals and is up 3 percent versus last week's 3.1 in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings. In total viewers, "The Voice" is at a three-week high, up by 1 percent versus last week's official-national result (11.050 million vs. 10.999 million).

Note that every regular "Voice" telecast during this cycle has grown by 0.1-0.2 of a rating point going from these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings to official nationals.

From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "Revolution" (2.0/5 in adults 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) is up 5 percent in 18-49 rating versus last week's 1.9, to hit its highest rating in four weeks (since May 6) and tie its top rating since April 8, pending updates. The first season finale of "Revolution" is #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, as well as adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and most other key demographics.

Note that "Revolution" is a highly time-shifted show, with the prior week's telecast growing by 66 percent when going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings (1.90) to its "live plus three day" result (3.16), making last week's telecast the top-rated "Revolution" in "L+3" since April 8. The gain of 1.26 rating points going from L+SD to L+3 was "Revolution's" biggest increase since its fall finale on November 26.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5 with an encore.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 1.0/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


For the Week:

NBC has won the Primetime week of May 27-June 2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, as well as adults 25-54 and other key demographics, according to "live plus same day" viewing data from Nielsen Media Research. NBC's week was paced by the Monday and Tuesday editions of "The Voice," which tied for #1 among the week's Primetime programs on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 and #2 on those networks in total viewers, adults, men and women 25-54 and other key measures. For the week, NBC averaged a 1.4 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall.

NBC delivered four of the week's top 10 programs in adults 18-49 on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, with Monday's and Tuesday's "Voice" tying for #1 and Monday's "Revolution" and Wednesday's "Healing in the Heartland" benefit concert tying for #7. Also ranking in the top 30 in adults 18-49 for the week were Tuesday's "Voice" Recap (tied for #13), Wednesday's "Dateline NBC" (tied for #15), Friday's "Dateline" (tied for #17), Saturday's Stanley Cup Playoff Hockey (tied for #25) and Friday's "Rock Center with Brian Williams" (tied for #25).

NBC matched its 18-49 rating for the same week last year and was up 7 percent in total viewers (to 5.1 million persons from 4.8 million), while the other Big 4 networks were all down versus the same week last year in total viewers.
