NBC's DATELINE Matches Season-High Thursday Rating in 18-49

"Dateline NBC" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) reported the show's highest Thursday rating since April 2 and equaled its season high in adults 18-49. "Dateline" grew +8% week to week in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.2)

"Dateline NBC" tied for #1 for the hour in adults 18-49 and was #1 outright in total viewers.

"Dateline NBC" is the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, behind only CBS's "Big Bang" encore.

Upscale: The prior week's Thursday "Dateline NBC" was the most upscale Big 4 show of the night, with an index of 128for adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes).

"Aquarius" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.7) and grew in adults 18-34 (0.3 to 0.4) and women 18-34 (0.5 to 0.6).


Opposite ABC's season premiere of "Mistresses," "Aquarius" finished within 0.1 of last week's 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 andmaintained 100% of last week's results in adults 18-34 (0.4) and women 18-34 (0.5).

"Aquarius" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting -- "Aquarius" is growing by +42% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.05 to a 1.49) and 1.8 million viewers overall (5.7 million to 7.5 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Hannibal" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 1.8 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) surged week to week in key adult-male demos (note that ABC aired NBA FINALS basketball last Thursday):

Up +67% or 0.2 of a point in men 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.3).

Up +20% or 0.1 of a point in men 25-54 (0.6 vs. 0.5).

Up +300% or 0.3 of a point in men 18-34 (0.4 vs. 0.1).

Versus ABC's season premiere of "Mistresses" and special 10-11 p.m. FOX coverage of golf's U.S. Open, "Hannibal"maintained 100% of last week's rating in adults 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.5), doubled its rating in adults 18-34 (0.4 vs. 0.2) and grew +7% in total viewers (1.774 million vs. 1.663 million).

"Hannibal" will grow significantly via time-shifting - the prior week's "Hannibal" increased by +59% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (0.46 to 0.73) and by 667,000 persons in total viewers (1.7 million to 2.3 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.3/6; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.7/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
