NBC Universo Airs FIFIA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP CANADA Tonight

Tonight on NBC UNIVERSO, fans can watch live the highly anticipated FIFIA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™ KNOCKOUT round match between USA and Colombia at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT on NBC UNIVERSO. Tonight's game provides Colombia with the opportunity to reverse a painful trend that has been set by the USA team. The Americans are looking to battle past a defiant Colombian squad with whom it has lots of history.

Leading up to tonight's battle, Colombia's forward Lady Andrade made explosive comments to the media that the Americans disrespect and belittle her team. Her verbal fireworks, however, are just the latest salvo fired in the contentious on-field relationship between the USA women's team and the Colombia women's team. During the London 2012 Olympic Games, Andrade and the USA's Abby Wambach had a physical altercation away from the ball in which Andrade punched Wambach in her eye. The Americans went on to win that CONTEST 3-0, and eventually the Olympic Gold Medal. In World Cup competition, Colombia last faced the USA in 2011 in Germany and also lost that meeting 3-0.

In this year's tournament, the USA team advanced to the KNOCKOUT stage by winning its Group. They beat Australia 3-1, tied Sweden 0-0, and beat Nigeria 1-0. Colombia finished third in its Group by drawing with Mexico 1-1, defeating France 2-0 and falling to England 2-1. The winner of tonight's match will move on to the next round to face China on Fri., June 26 at 7:00 p.m. ET. That match also will be telecast live on NBC UNIVERSO.

Preceding the USA vs. Colombia match tonight, Norway will play England at 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. PT on NBC UNIVERSO.

The round of 16 continues tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23 with Japan vs. Netherlands at 9:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT on NBC UNIVERSO.
