NBC Sports Group kicks off its 2017 cycling schedule with live coverage of the Santos Tour Down Under this Sunday, Jan. 15, at 3:45 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold. NBC Sports Group's cycling coverage includes 15 events throughout the year, highlighted by all 21 stages of Grand Tour races Tour de France and Vuelta a España. NBC Sports Gold's daily live coverage of the Santos Tour Down Under culminates on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 10 p.m. ET.
Universal HD will televise encore presentations of the Santos Tour Down Under beginning Sunday, Jan. 15, at 9 p.m. ET. The Santos Tour Down Under visits some of South Australia's scenic beaches, wine regions and historic country towns before the finale on the streets of Adelaide. Highlighting the field are two-time Paris-Nice winner Richie Porte (BMC Racing Team) and 2015 Santos Tour Down Under champion Rohan Dennis (BMC Racing Team) of Australia; Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) of Slovakia, who has seven Tour de France stage wins to his name; and Esteban Chaves (Orica-Scott) of Colombia, who won two stages of the 2015 Vuelta a España. Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen will call the action for 2017 Santos Tour Down Under coverage on NBC Sports Gold and Universal HD.
