Concerned for Benson's safety, a security detail is assigned to her 24/7, but it doesn't take long for Lewis to get her back where he left off. With time running out, Benson must decide how much she's willing to sacrifice in order to save the life of a child. In the moments after William Lewis' death, Sergeant Benson (Hargitay) is rescued by the SVU squad, but her torment continues. The Internal Affairs investigation of her actions is deemed inconclusive, and with no evidence to corroborate her story, Prosecutor Derek Strauss (Greg Germann) convenes a grand jury and calls for Benson's arrest. With increasing pressure from Lt. Tucker (guest star Robert John Burke) and Lt. Murphy (Donal Logue) to save herself any way she can, Benson must choose between her convictions and her badge. Popular comedian Josh Galloway (guest star Jonathan Silverman) is faced with student protestors after a set at Tompkins Square University. His demeaning jokes about women and rape become more serious when a student is assaulted by two of Galloway's fans. Though Barba (Raúl Esparza) can't arrest him for speaking his mind, he charges the SVU to find proof that Galloway's actions reflect his words. When TSU student Carly Rydell (guest star Laura Slade Wiggins) accuses Galloway of rape, Sergeant Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is happy to arrest him. But Barba finds major roadblocks in the he-said she-said case, and thinks Benson should have chosen her battle more carefully. Meanwhile, a detective from Chicago (guest star Sophia Bush) seeks help from the NYPD. Also starring Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Danny Pino (Detective Nick Amaro) and Kelli Giddish (Detective Amanda Rollins). 07/20/2014 (10:00PM - 11:00PM) (Sunday) : SVU AGENTS FIN AND ROLLINS PAY A VISIT TO CHICAGO TO HELP THE INTELLIGENCE UNIT TRACK DOWN A SERIAL RAPIST/MURDERER - Voight (Jason Beghe) and Antonio (Jon Seda) enlist the help of agents at the Special Victims Unit in New York, Fin (guest star Ice T) and Rollins (guest star Kelli Giddish), to help track down the culprit of a series of rape/murders. Burgess (Marina Squerciati) has an opportunity to prove herself to Intelligence. Elsewhere Lindsay (Sophia Bush) enlists the help of Halstead (Jesse Lee Sopher) to act as her date for her high school reunion to get back at an old rival. Even with government agencies in the mix, Voight (Jason Beghe) and his team work the case from their own angles and connections. Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Antonio (Jon Seda) question doctors who handled the transplant surgery for an Ambassador from Syria, but no clues emerge. Olinsky (Elias Koteas) gets some solid intel and the team work from there. It's a race against time as they realize there may be additional bombs targeted to detonate. Meanwhile Burgess (Marina Squerciati) sits vigil for her niece whose life hangs in the balance. Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, LaRoyce Hawkins and Archie Kao also star. Taylor Kinney, Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Eamonn Walker, Amanda Righetti and Charlie Barnett guest star.
