First Lady Michelle Obama will make a special appearance today, April 10th on Sprout's "The Sunny Side Up Show," the only live daily morning show for preschoolers and their families. The First Lady will join Sprout's brand icon Chica and hosts Tim Kubart and Kaitlin Becker in celebration of the fifth anniversary of Mrs. Obama's Let's Move! initiative, as she challenges The Sunny Side Up crew to #GimmeFive. The Let's Move initiative encourages everyone to eat better, be more active and lead a healthier life.

Beginning Monday, April 6th Sprout and The Sunny Side Up Show will celebrate Let's Move week, featuring themed songs, recipes, games and viewer submitted messages, sharing with Chica how they stay healthy. The weeklong celebration culminates on Friday when First Lady Michelle Obama stops by the Sunshine Barn, where Tim, Kaitlin and Chica congratulate Mrs. Obama on five years of encouraging families to move and stay healthy. They will all participate in the #GimmeFive Challenge by dancing to a special edition of Sprout's Birthday Song, called "Happy Happy Birthday, Let's Move!" featuring five different dance moves. After its debut, the special song and dance will re-air throughout Sprout's schedule along with special birthday shout-outs airing nightly in Sprout's primetime block, The Good Night Show.

Sprout's The Sunny Side Up Show broadcasts daily from 30 ROCK in New York City. Every morning, Chica and her human sidekicks (Kaitlin, Tim, Emily, and Carly) greet preschoolers and their families as they start their day and present age-appropriate theme-based content around long form preschool episodes. The Sunny Side Up Show's live format enables Sprout to host celebrity guests from Mo'ne Davis and BJ Novak to Oscar the Grouch, keep current with pop culture and showcase real-time viewer submitted messages and photos. Now in its seventh year of daily production and approaching its 2500th episode, The Sunny Side Up Show continues to provide quality content that supports the Sprout brand, showcases real kids, and inspires parent-child interaction beyond the screen.
