MVB Entertainment is a popular urban entertainment company in New York City, that is well known for it's artist development independent music division, MVB Entertainment Music Group (MVBEMG).

In an effort to expand his brand, Abdel 'Sosa' Russell, the CEO of MVB Entertainment, has decided to add film to his company's operations, and also join the IFP. The IFP was founded in 1979, and it's the largest and oldest not-for-profit dedicated to independent film.

"MVB Entertainment has been involved with so many different forms of urban entertainment, and urban pop culture, since 2005. We've had a modeling promotion agency, a nightlife event company, television (MVBtv), talent management, adult entertainment, online radio, you name it, we've done it all on the independent level. But film, film is something that we've never gotten involved with, because of budget demands and lack of resources. But thats about to change".

Sosa did not go into full details about the specific projects MVB Entertainment is currently involved in, but he made it clear that they are not only producing upcoming projects, but also that they are looking at several different investment opportunities that have presented themselves, to him and his company.
