Lea Michele has revealed in her new book 'Brunette Ambition' that she did in fact briefly date her Glee co-star Matthew Morrison, despite previously denying any romantic involvement.

In her new book, described as "part memoir, part how-to and part style-guide," the 27-year-old shares that her and Matthew, 35, did date prior to their casting in the FOX musical dramedy.

The short-tem romance is mentioned in a section of her book dedicated to her casting in the role of Rachel Berry on 'Glee.' According to US Weekly, Michele writes, "When we shot the pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley and Chris Colfer for the first time. I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before," adding, "Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact we'd actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat."

This revelation contradicts earlier denials on any romantic involvement between the two actors. In the past, the singer told told Hollywood.com, per Us Weekly, that she had "known Matt for years." She added, "He's been a friend of mine from New York. People are going to make things up. I think it's just because we really are so close."
