NBC has announced that Skeet Ulrich will no longer be a member of the cast of 'Law and Order, Los Angeles,' The New York Times reports today. This was done in an effort to give more screen time to Terrance Howard and Alfred Molina.

Dick Wolf, creator of 'Law and Order' made the announcement explaining his frustrations that two "world-class actors" were on the bench too frequently. Previously, Howard and Molina alternated episodes as prosecuting attorneys.  To accomodate the change, Molina's character will become a homicide detective, revealing a new backstory with his character as a police officer.

Ulrich will leave the show in March.
