Kellie Overbey Returns to CBS' 'The Good Wife,' 11/3

Stage star Kellie Overbey will reprise her role as Dr. Tara Rothbart on CBS's The Good Wife on Tuesday, November 3. The episode airs at 10:00-11:00 PM, EST.

In 'The Good Wife,' the wife of a successful Chicago politician (Julianna Margulies) must go back to work when her husband is disgraced and imprisoned. Falling back on a law degree she hasn't used in years, she ends up as a junior associate at a local firm and makes an impression on her very first case defending a murder suspect.

Overbey initiated the role of Dr. Tara Rothbart previously, and will be reprising her role in the upcoming 'Conjugal' episode, in which Alicia works with Will on the appeal of a death row inmate, agreeing to a conjugal visit with Peter in order to get information from him since her client was convicted under Peter's reign as state's attorney.

Overbey will be joining series regulars: Julianna MarguliesChristine BaranskiJosh Charles, Archie Panjabi, Matt Czuchry, Makenzie Vega, and Graham Phillips.

Last seen in The Savannah Disputations at Playwrights Horizons earlier this year, Overbey has appeared on Broadway in the Tony and Drama Desk-winning Coast of Utopia, parts 1, 2 & 3; Twentieth Century; QED; Judgement at Nuremberg; Present Laughter; and Buried Child.  She has appeared on screen Law & Order; Law & Order: SVU; Miss Match; and Leap of Faith on television and has appeared in the films Sweet and Lowdown; 35 Miles from Normal; and Defenseless, among others. She additionally penned the book for off-Broadway's Once Around the Sun in 2005.
