Josh Stamberg (Drop Dead Diva) has joined NBC's Parenthood in a recurring role.

For the original report, head on over to The Wrap.

Stamberg will play "Carl", a new neighbor in Sarah's (Lauren Graham) building, and is set to appear in at least five episodes of the 22-episode season.

Stamberg's other TV credits include Justified, Arrested Development, Shark Wranglers, Castle, The Whole Truth, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Ex List, Lie to Me, Men in Trees, NCIS, Brothers & Sisters, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Courting Alex, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Over There, Monk, and many more.

"Parenthood" is a one-hour drama inspired by the box-office hit of the same name. This re-imagined and updated Universal Television/Imagine Television production follows the trials and tribulations of the very large, very colorful and imperfect Braverman family. Serving as executive producers are Oscar winners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer ("A Beautiful Mind," "Frost/Nixon"), Emmy winner Jason Katims ("Friday Night Lights"), and Lawrence Trilling ("Pushing Daisies").

Parenthood will begin its fifth season on NBC on September 26.
