The Starz Original series BLUNT TALK will include several recurring and guest stars in the second season of the half-hour comedy starring Patrick Stewart. The series will premiere on Sunday, October 2nd at 8:35 pm ET/PT.

Set to make guest star appearances throughout season two are Fred Armisen ("Portlandia," "Documentary Now!") as passionate environmentalist Larry Simon, Jason Schwartzman ("Wet Hot American Summer," "Parks & Recreation") as the well-intentioned madman Duncan Adler, musician and actor Moby as himself, Fred Melamed ("Casual") as Blunt's therapist Dr. Mendelson, Golden Brooks ("Girlfriends") as Blunt's ex-wife Vivian, Erik Griffin ("Workaholics") as Blunt's sex addiction sponsee Herschel, and Brett Gelman ("Another Period") as porn-producer Ronnie Birmingham. Also appearing this season are Ed Begley, Brent Spiner, Paul Scheer, Trace Lysette, Leslie Ann Warren, Stacey Keach, Rob Huebel, Angela Kinsey, Charles Fleischer, Brian Baumgarner, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Patrick Stewart's son Daniel Stewart.

The guest stars join the cast led by Patrick Stewart (X-Men franchise, Ted) in the role of Walter Blunt, Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook) as Rosalie, Blunt's tough and motherly producer-manager, and Adrian Scarborough (The King's Speech) as Harry, Blunt's manservant. Dolly Wells ("Doll & Em") as Celia, Blunt's senior producer and head writer, Timm Sharp ("Enlightened") as Jim, Blunt's head writer, Mary Holland ("Silicon Valley," "Parks and Recreation") as the ambitious Shelly, Karan Soni (Ghostbusters, Deadpool) as the love-sick Martin, and Romany Malco (Think Like A Man, The 40 Year Old Virgin) in his recurring role of Bob Gardner, the president of the network, round out the cast.

Set in Los Angeles, the story follows Walter Blunt, a British import intent on conquering the world of American cable news and the fallout from his well-intentioned, but mostly misguided decision-making, both on and off the air.

The upcoming season finds Walter Blunt and his team on top of the network ratings, when Walter runs into an old flame, in town to investigate a conspiracy involving one of Los Angeles' most critical environmental threats. Rosalie, Jim, Celia, Martin, and Shelly (with all their various neuroses intact) are by Walter's side as he delves into his past, which leads him into a web of intrigue affecting the future of LA.

Seth MacFarlane and Fuzzy Door Productions, Inc. serve as executive producer. Jonathan Ames, who originated the idea for the series, serves as executive producer, writer and showrunner. Tristram Shapeero ("Community") and Stephanie Davis ("Bored to Death") serve as executive producers with Shapeero also serving as director. Stewart is a producer on the series.

MRC, the studio behind MacFarlane's directorial debut Ted, which is the highest grossing original comedy of all time worldwide, as well as the award-winning series "House of Cards," is best known as one of the most artist-friendly independent studios.
