So much for a groundbreaking social experiment captured on live television.

FOX has officially announced the cancelation of their TV show, UTOPIA. This is after the network had already shifted the time slot for the show and decreased the number of episodes for the season.

From the get-go, there has been question as to whether this new reality show, in which many different people were placed in a remote location to start a new life with no rules, would be a success.

Less than a month after its debut, FOX cut out the weekly Tuesday episode and reduced the show to once a week, on Fridays. Despite the change, ratings have still been declining.
