Everton vs. Manchester City Match Airs on Telemundo This Weekend

NBC DEPORTES presents Everton vs. Manchester City in Liga Premier soccer this Sunday, August 23 at 10:55AM/9:55C/7:55P on TELEMUNDO, with narration and commentary by the award-winning Andrés Cantor and Chivas de Guadalajara star Manuel Sol.

Expectations are running high in Week 3 of Liga Premier play, not only because of Man City's stellar performance this season but also because of Coach Manuel Pellegrini's chance to make history by leading the club to nine wins in a row for the first time in 103 years. The Citizens ended last season with six straight victories and have won their two first games so far this time around. In the meantime, they have continued to strengthen their ranks by signing high-profile players like Raheem Sterling and, most recently, Argentine defense star Nicolás Otamendi, who played for Valencia in the Spanish league.

Everton is also undefeated but ranks below Man City in points. The team is off to a good start to improve on its number 11 ranking last season, leading off with a 2-2 tie against Watford and a 3-0 win at home over Southampton.

Goodison Park has never been an easy venue for Manchester City, which has won only two of its last 17 away games there. At the same time, Everton hasn't beaten the Citizens since Week 30 of the 2012-2013 season. Their last encounter, in Week 21 of last season, ended in a 1-1 tie.
