CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program with 3.35 million viewers on Sunday, April 16, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 80.6% of the CBS affiliates. FACE THE NATION aired a special telecast on Sunday due to the Easter Holiday.

Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is averaging 3.84 million viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54.

The April 16 broadcast opened with a report from Pyongyang, North Korea from CBS News foreign correspondent Ben Tracy. The political roundtable featured The Washington Post's David Ignatius; Robin Wright, joint fellow at the U.S. Institute for Peace and the Wilson Center; The Washington Post's David Nakamura; and Jamelle Bouie, Slate and CBS News Political Analyst. Next, Dickerson spoke to historian David McCullough, author of "The American Spirit." Dickerson then moderated a religion panel, featuring Rod Dreher, the American conservative and author of "The Benedict Option;" Russell Moore, President of the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission; Abigail Pogrebin, author of "My Jewish Year: 18 Holidays, One Wondering Jew;" and Father James Martin, Jesuit Priest and Editor-at-Large at America Magazine. The show closed with a discussion on chiefs of staff and the presidency, featuring Ken Duberstein, former White House chief of staff to President Reagan; Denis McDonough, former White House chief of staff to President Obama; and Chris Whipple, author of "The Gatekeepers: How the White House Chiefs of Staff Define Every Presidency."
