At 10:00 PM, 48 HOURS delivered 4.70 million viewers and a 1.1/03 in adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news.

Saturday's broadcast featured Maureen Maher and 48 HOURS's investigation into the murder of Aspen legend Nancy Pfister and the quest to find her killer. Pfister was found dead in her bedroom closet by friend Kathy Carpenter, who had been alerted that something was amiss in the Pfister home by Nancy Styler, a woman who, along with her husband, Trey, had rented Pfister's home.

Investigators had some suspects, however, starting with the Stylers, who were arrested after police found evidence connected to the murder 100 yards from where they were staying. Police questioned the new evidence find, suggesting maybe it was too good to be true. They also had a hunch the early finger pointing at the Stylers may have been a little too convenient. Soon after the Stylers were charged, Carpenter was arrested, too.

In a twist, Trey then confessed to the crime, claiming to have acted alone. Nancy Styler and Carpenter were released, with all charges dropped.

48 HOURS: "Murder in Aspen" is produced by Liza Finley. Ryan Smith is the field producer. Mike Vele, Richard Barber, Diana Modica and Maria Barrow are the editors. Peter Schweitzer is the senior producer. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
