CBS News Nominated for 43 EMMY AWARDS; More Than Any Other News Organization

CBS News earned 43 News & Documentary Emmy Award nominations, more than any other news organization, and more than its two main broadcast network rivals, it was announced today by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. 60 MINUTES led all single programs with 30 Emmy nominations. The CBS EVENING NEWS and CBS THIS MORNING each earned seven nominations - with CBS THIS MORNING getting more than any network morning show. CBS SUNDAY MORNING and 48 HOURS each received two nominations.

The 38th Annual News and Documentary Awards will be presented at a ceremony Thursday, Oct. 5, at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City.
