CBS EVENING NEWS Up +6% Year-to-Year in Viewers

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +6% year-to-year in viewers (6.42m from 6.08m) for the week ending May 29, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. The CBS broadcast added +339,000 viewers and closed the viewership gap with NBC by 780,000 viewers compared to the same week last year.

Season-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +2% in viewers (7.21m from 7.06m) compared to last year.

On last week's broadcasts, Don Dahler, Omar Villafranca and Vicente Arenas reported on severe flooding in Texas and the Southern Plains; David Martin reported on U.S. airstrikes against ISIS; Nancy Cordes and Jeff Pegues reported on former House Speaker Dennis Hastert, who was indicted on federal criminal charges; and CHARLIE ROSE spoke with Bob Schieffer about Schieffer's retirement as CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent and Anchor of FACE THE NATION.
