Ben Shenkman to Join Cast of USA's Royal Pains

TV Guide reports that Tony Award nominee Ben Shenkman has been cast as HankMed's new hire in the USA television show Royal Pains, which returns this summer for its fourth season.

USA's highest-rated series, ROYAL PAINS stars Mark Feuerstein as Dr. Hank Lawson who, after becoming blacklisted from the medical community, revives his career as a "doctor for hire" to the rich and famous in the Hamptons. Dr. Lawson has found his niche treating this select group of the East End elite as well as the town's less fortunate. The show also stars Paulo Costanzo, Reshma Shetty and Jill Flint. Recurring on the series are Campbell Scott as Boris, Brooke D'Orsay as Paige, Kyle Howard as Dr. Van Dyke, Joanna Garcia Swisher as Dr. Nina Greene and Tom Cavanagh as Jack O'Malley.

Shenkman's Broadway credits include The 24 Hour Plays (2008, 2007, 2005, 2004), Sight Unseen, Proof and The Deep Blue Sea. His role in Proof earned him a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play. Shenkman is also known for his appearances on telvision's Law & Order, Grey's Anatomy, Damages, and Burn Notice.
