Tonight, we'll be halfway through Season 4 of MTV's "Teen Wolf". Where DOES the time go? So what has our favorite Beacon Hills High supernatural gang been up to thus far? Let's take a look back at the season thus far to prep for what is shaping up for an exciting second half:

Two months after the devastating death of Allison Argent, the not quite as devastating, but still sad, death of Aiden, and the abrupt departures of Isaac, Ethan, and Danny, we open in Mexico. Our favorite 'will they or won't they' couple, Stiles and Lydia, have arrived to try and negotiate the release of Derek Hale. After major failings by their backup team of Scott, Malia and Kira and some minor torture, Scott figures out that the Calavera Cartel have no idea where Derek is either. Through some minor electro-shocks from Scott's new lady/fox love, he realizes that Kate Argent is alive and has Derek. With the help of mercenary Braeden, the gang sets off into the Mexican desert to rescue him. What could possibly go wrong? Flat tire? Getting attacked by a mysterious, invisible gang? Malia, Kira, and Stiles left alone to fend for themselves? All of the above? Braeden and Scott head to find Derek and they do...kind of...I mean, he's Derek. But he is now teenage Derek.

We learn that Kate, now a Were-Jaguar, is unable to control herself during transformations (RIP, gas station attendant). Lydia and Kira are the misfortunate ones who happen upon the gruesome scene. Thankfully, Lydia is armed and ready with her new Samsung Product Placement Phone/Camera to capture all of the details for Stiles and Scott.

Meanwhile, the boys drag teenage Derek to Deaton, the supernatural vet, who has NO idea what to do for Derek. Derek easily overpowers him and heads 'home.' As it turns out, teenage Derek has no memory of the fire that destroyed his home and his family. Officers at the scene bring him into the police station where old, reliable Sheriff Stalinsky along with Deputy Parrish and the boys sort it all out. On Stiles watch, Derek is kidnapped by Kate who uses him to get into the vault under the school. What she was really after was the Triskelion that Peter used to train Derek when he was young. It kept him in control during his transformations. Peter arrives at the school to inform Kate that it was just a trinket he invented. They brawl but are interrupted and Peter momentarily blinded as someone steals something from the vault. Outside the school, Scott, Malia and Kira try to fend off the Berserkers (the invisible gang from Mexico). As Kate escapes from the vault she calls the Berserkers to follow her. Are they her minions or what? Peter informs the gang that it was all a setup for a heist and the Hale vault was robbed of $117 million dollars!

We are next introduced to the scariest looking villain since the Gentlemen in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His name is the Mute. Why? Because he has no mouth and talks through a computerized glove. He brutally kills an entire family and chases away teenage "Sean" from his house. Sean soon arrives at the hospital covered in blood and immediately taken care of by Mama McCall and Dr. Geyer. At school, Stiles and Scott learn that their spots as co-captains on the Lacrosse team are in jeopardy upon the arrival of new phenom, Liam. Getting caught up in the competitive spirit, Scott accidentally injures Liam and takes him immediately to the hospital. But not before having an awkward first kiss with Kira followed by an AWESOME first kiss with Kira. They're official. Are we allowed to start liking her now?

Peter and Derek wind up paying Braedan a LOT of money to look for Kate which she is already doing for the Calavera Cartel. They just want her to find Kate first. )How about that sexual tension between Derek and Braedan. Yikes!) We find out later Derek needs to find Kate soon because since she turned him back into a teenager, his powers are disappearing.

Deputy Parrish finds Lydia at the scene of the crime at Sean's house only to discover a secret room in the basement filled with dead bodies. She knows who the killer is, it's SEAN! Lydia calls to warn Scott who saves his Mom in the knick of time from Sean who is a cannibalistic Wendigo. Unfortunately, his next victim is Liam. Scott catches Liam as he's hanging off the building but he's losing his grip as Sean is pulling his arms back. There's only one option and Scott sinks his wolf teeth into Liam's arm to save him. He bit the innocent!

In their infinite wisdom, Scott and Stiles kidnap Liam. Liam quickly escapes before they can explain what's happening. Back at school, Liam continually tries to avoid Scott and Stiles until he is semi-seduced by Kira into going to a house party at Lydia's lake house. And by party, I mean intervention. How else are they going to explain to him what is happening to him? They all 'come out' to Liam as the supernatural creatures that they are.

At the Hale abode, Peter is attacked by the mute who puts his tomahawk through Peter's chest. Derek, almost gleefully, has to burn the wolfsbane out of Peter. Derek takes the weaponry to the Sheriff where Deputy Parrish identifies it as military grade. Guess it's time to pull the Deputy into their little (big) secrets.

Derek and the Sheriff meet up at the school to chase the Mute. They catch him and are ready to arrest him and question him when Peter arrives and kills him. Ugh...Peter.

At the lake house, the small party has turned into a full on kegger as Liam had texted Mason to bring over a few (dozen) people. Mason's buddies, Violet and Garrett, turn out to be assassins just like the Mute working for "The Benefactor."

Downstairs, Malia is chained to the wall and Stiles talks her through her transformation so she can learn to control it. Scott and Kira aren't as lucky with Liam who winds up escaping into the woods. Scott finds him and calms him down. Liam confesses that he has anger issues and he's so afraid of disappointing his parents again, he just can't let them see him as a monster. Scott will be his guide.

Lydia makes a discovery of her own. She deciphers all the code she's been spitting out by typing in the password "Allison" and finding out that it's a kill list of all the supernatural beings in Beacon Hills...and all of her best pals are on it!

Violet and Garrett score another hit as Stiles and Scott start to piece together what is happening. They realize that by adding up all the 'dollar amounts' on the kill list, you arrive at the sum of 117...the amount of money that was stolen from the Hale Vault!

As if things weren't bad enough, Beacon Hills High has their first lacrosse scrimmage and it's against Liam's old school. Liam tries but fails to call a truce with his old teammates but they quickly dismiss him as we all learn that Liam trashed the coach's car after being benched.

Stiles figures out that the killer is on the lacrosse team and quickly narrows it down to Garrett who is carrying a lacrosse stick/switch blade dabbed in fatal wolfsbane. Liam confesses to the boys that he was diagnosed with I.E.D. (Intermittent Explosive Disorder) but doesn't take his anti-psychotic medication because it makes him too tired and he can't play lacrosse.

Lydia summons fellow banshee/mental patient Meredith who gives her a cryptic code to figure out the rest of the list. After much initial frustration, Malia deciphers that it could be letters and Lydia types in the second code: AIDEN. On the list reveals one of Liam's old rivals, Brett. Garrett nicks Brett in the game to get him to the locker room where Violet abruptly strangles him. Scott arrives and Violet tries the same trick on him...haha, nice try honey. Scott easily overpowers her and knocks her out.

The Calavera Cartel arrives and convinces Chris Argent to join back up with them after professing "We hunt those who hunt us." Is he really on their side? Or is he just playing them to save his own life?

Here's what I do know:

Yellow Eyes - Betas

Blue Eyes - Betas who have killed an innocent.

Red Eyes - Alpha

Here's what I don't know:

Green Eyes - Were Jaguars? Crazy? Formerly dead? Perfect Hair?

Who is the Benefactor?

What is Deputy Parrish?

Why are the passwords to the codes all dead friends?

Why hasn't anyone been shirtless this season?

I like Malia, a lot, but Stiles and Lydia...isn't it time yet?

What about Mama McCall and Papa Stiles?

Why was Scott's Dad only in Episode 1?

Is anyone else sick of hashtags at the bottom of the screen? #orisitjustme

Did I miss anything? Let me know! I'll be back with a recap after Episode 6 airs tonight on MTV 10/9 Central.
