It's that time of year again as fifty-two gorgeous young ladies take to the stage in Atlantic City to compete for the coveted title of MISS AMERICA!

The national tradition was first held in 1921 under a different name, and since then has crowned eighty-seven different gorgeous ladies from all over the nation. Throughout the year, MISS AMERICA is known to travel up to 20,000 miles during her reign, promoting her specific charities and platform.

This year's competition has already been stiff as the preliminary rounds have been underway over this past week. Misses Maryland, Oklahoma and Florida all took home prelim awards for the swimsuit competition, while Misses Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky took home the talent awards.

Chris Harrison of THE BACHELOR and THE BACHELORETTE alongside Lara Spencer of GOOD MORNING AMERICA will host this year's competition.

The reigning MISS AMERICA, Nina Davuluri, will pass on the sash, crown, and responsibility that goes along with the title during the live televised finale tonight on ABC beginning at 9:00pm ET.

Check back with BroadwayWorldTV throughout the night as I will be live-recapping this legendary event from the moment the curtain goes to the confetti fall at the end! I will also be (attempting) to live tweet @JoeyOHern as well. So, leave your thoughts in the comments below, or on Twitter. Until the show starts, the most important thing to discuss is, who are you rooting for?

10:58: There she is... Miss America, Miss New York! A three-peat for the state!

10:54: Here we go folks. Time for results...

Miss America 2015 is... Miss New York!

1st Runner up: Virginia

2nd Runner Up: Arkansas

3rd Runner Up: Florida

4th Runner Up: Massachusetts

10:53: The gorgeous Nina Davuluri took her final walk and reflected on her year as MISS AMERICA.

10:41: Top 5 is called and asked an on stage question...

Arkansas: Questioned on the always hot button issue of gun control. She was giving a great answer until it seemed she got distracted by the audience and stumbled on her words.

Florida: Was asked about the scandal surrounding Ray Rice and if she agrees with Janay Rice for standing by her husband. Would she? Florida gave a direct answer of no and I respect her for that.

New York: Was asked about the ration of women to men congressmen and what women should step up and address. Great answer by her discussing sexual assault in the military should become a priority.

Virginia: In regards to be asked about ISIS, VA said it shouldn't just be a job for America to deal with, UN needs to step up.

Massachusetts: Seemed to have an okay answer about making women feel safer on their college campuses. Call me crazy but I'm just shocked she made it in the Top 5 and Mississippi didn't.

10:09-10:34: Talent Standouts..

Mississippi: Went with a vocal performance and sang "Something Gotta Hold of Me" . How she did not win AMERICAN IDOL I'll never know. It was a great performance and a shoe in to move on.

Massachusetts: I will fully admit I know nothing about piano, but I was impressed! Classic yet impressive piece.

Ohio: Talent is always about showing your personality while bringing something different to the competition and that is what Ohio did.

Florida: Gorgeous costumes, great choreography and the song fit the whole thing.

Alabama: Despite the fact that she performed to LET IT GO from FROZEN it was a great talent! Gorgeous costumes, nice choreography and technique and she sold it!

9:55: Evening gown standouts: Mississippi looks gorgeous. I wouldn't complain if she won the whole thing tonight. Florida is breathtaking in gold and her dress was different enough to move her on. Call me crazy but Virginia seems to be improving in numerous aspects as the competition progresses. Another stellar look was Tennessee. It seems the ladies of the South are bringing their A game!

9:49: Top 12 are.... Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Iowa, New York, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Massachusetts and Arkansas.

9:41: Swimsuit stands outs to me: Florida, Texas, Virginia, and Mississippi. I will add that it's good to see these girls have bodies that look healthy and real!

9:38: Miss Mississippi is ROCKING this swimsuit competition. I'll have to say that I am loving all the pink swimsuits. But the thing to take away from this portion of the pageant is that Texas and her calves are INSANE!

9:36: MISS AMERICA life tip: ALWAYS channel your inner Beyonce. I'm not sure if that is just during a pageant because I'm always channeling my inner Beyonce.

9:28: That desired 16th spot goes to...Miss North Dakota! Last time a Miss Congeniality winner moved on she made Top 5! Oh wait, that was Sandra Bullock. Never mind. Moving on...

9:28: I LOVE Lara Spencer...but why is she wearing a purple towel? However, her hair and make up looks great!

9:23: Woah! Shocker! They are adding ONE MORE GIRL making it a Top 16! Usually the MISS AMERICA pageant is very strict on keep the "numbers" for each round consistent. A 16th contestant being added could be a game changer!

9:18: Top 15 are... Idaho, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Connecticut, New York, Arkansas, Iowa, Oklahoma. Did your faves make the cut?!

9:16: Time for the judges to be introduced, they are: Kathy Ireland, Donald Driver, Shawn Johnson, Marc Cherry, Anne McDonald, Gary Vaynerchuk and Lee Meriwether. Great group this year! Sometimes the celeb judges are hit or miss.

9:12: I LOVE Nina, really love that she has a more diverse look and shows what America is all about! Hold your breath, the Top 15 is about to be called. Why am I nervous like I know these girls?

9:11: Alright folks, you've heard all the intros. Got any favorites? I have to say Virgin Islands and Colorado were hysterical to me. I love how they are all different and personalized to their personalities and states.

9:04: I'm going to be honest, we are only a few minutes into the opening intros and I can already tell who standouts are! This competition is going to tough yall.

9:02: These intros are very funny and cute! The intro by Colorado is personal favorite, love a good side joke! Oh and Florida is my girl! Yes, I'm biased!

9:00: Here we go folks! Let's the games begin as 53 gorgeous ladies are making their way to the stage! Prelims have been a tough competition with some early favorites gaining major buzz! Any favorites yet from the preview special?
