The boys take a South American trip and Laurel meets a shirtless Wildcat on this week's episode of ARROW.

In a flashback, we learn why Oliver's sister Thea (Willa Holland) ran off with the villainous Malcom Merlyn (John Barrowman)-and it ain't just because he's her daddy. Merlyn, Thea decides, is the kind of person who can teach her how not to ever get hurt again.

Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) pings Thea's cell phone (for someone who doesn't want to be found, I can only guess she still has it because she can't get out of her two year-contract). Thea isn't in Italy, but rather Corto Maltese (an island off the coast of South America).

Laurel (Katie Cassidy) pays a visit to a boxing club and meets Ted Grant (aka Wildcat, played by J.R. Ramirez). Grant tends to wear more clothes in the comic books, but I digress. One of Grant's boxing students has been fingered in a case. The kid has an alibi, though. Grant was sparring with him, working on his uppercuts. Laurel is pretty sure he's lying, though.

Oliver has taken Roy (aka Arsenal, played by Colton Haynes) and a somewhat reluctant Diggle (David Ramsey) with him on his South American adventure to retrieve his sister. It's like tag team wrestling. Ollie is first and fails. She tells him she is never going back.

Felicity lays down the ground rules on first day in the old Queen Consolidate office with her new boss Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh): no late night emails, no personal errands and no coffee runs. He surprises her with her own executive assistant. Oh, and she gets the corner office. Double upgrade!

Diggle is also down there to check in with Mark Shaw (aka Manhunter, played by David Cubitt). He leads Diggle into a trap and steals a flash drive with an encryption decoder.

Roy has his shot to convince Thea to return. She tells Roy she is there because, unlike Starling City, no one there lies to her. I somehow suspect that daddy hasn't been entirely forthcoming with her about what has done over the past two seasons. Malcom is a very bad man.

It isn't a South American trip, but Laurel is certainly working out her issues. With Felicity's help, she tracks down the abusive boyfriend of a gal in her AA meeting and attempts to beat the snot out of him. He overpowers her. The new Black Canary hasn't learned to fly just yet.

Ollie for round two. He lays it on pretty thick with Thea. "Mom, Dad --theey sacrificed themselves so that we could live. If we aren't together then we aren't really alive."

Oliver, Roy and Diggle catch up with Shaw, but not before Shaw complete the sale of the computer that lists and names, aliases and family members of people. Ooops.

Silver lining: Ollie's guilt trip worked. She flies home with him and the rest of the boys.

Back in Starling City, Laurel asks Oliver to train her. He refuses. Instead, she approaches Grant and begins to train at his gym. Looks like we haven't seen the last of Wildcat.

We end back at the Team ARROW headquarters where Roy and Oliver have an unexpected (and bow and ARROW drawn) member of The League of Assassins looking for Sara.

And that brings this ep to a close. Let us know what you thought below and join us next week for another recap next week.
