Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin to Return to Co-Host CNN's New Year's Eve Coverage

Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin will co-host CNN's coverage of New Year's Eve celebrations on Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (ET). Back for their 7th consecutive year, Cooper and Griffin will ring in the New Year live from NYC's Time Square for CNN's "New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin."

About the upcoming show, Cooper said "Wait...what? CNN hired her again? For real?" Kathy Griffin was humble as always, "I'm so thrilled Anderson Cooper has agreed to be my assistant once again as I single-handedly host New Year's Eve on CNN for my global adoring audience."

CNN correspondents will provide reports from celebrations across the country and around the world. Isha Sesay will join Cooper and Griffin from the crowds in Times Square. Brooke Baldwin will be live from New Orleans LA, Susan Hendricks from Nashville, TN and Gary Tuchman will cover the Watermelon Drop in Vincennes, IN.

Viewers who tweet and post on Instagram using the hashtag #CNNNYE or post onFacebook.com/ac360, will have the chance to see their New Year's Eve message or photos on air.

Leading up to "New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin" will be "All the Best, All the Worst 2013," an Anderson Cooper 360° special airing at 8 p.m. (ET). The one hour special hosted by Tom Foreman will count down to 2014 by shining a spotlight on the highlights and lowlights of the past twelve months in politics, pop culture, the economy, and entertainment. At 12:30 a.m. (ET), Anderson and Kathy will hand off to Brooke Baldwin who will bring viewers more celebrations as countries ring in the new year..
