Douglas Smith also stars in the film, which will begin production near Toronto in September. The story takes place in a musical theater camp being terrorized by a masked murderer who despises musicals.

MacDonald has also appeared in 2010's Score: A Hockey Musical, which premiered in Toronto. No stranger to the horror genre, the actress' other spooky film credits include The Barrens and The House at the End of the Street, both in post-production. MacDonald is also set to appear in guest roles on Syfy's Alphas and Hours.
