It seems that there is a lot of shake-ups in store for NBC's long-running morning show TODAY. Yesterday it was reported that long-time anchor Matt Lauer may depart the show when his contract expires at the end of the year. Now, the New York Post reports that "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush may join the show by year's end.

A source reveals, "Billy is still under contract to 'Access,' but it's possible that he could take a bigger role at 'Today' later this year. If it happens, and it looks very possible, Billy would probably appear later on 'Today' in the 9 a.m. hour, but also contribute entertainment and celebrity reports throughout the show."

Bush currently hosts the Syndicated shows 'Access' and 'Access Hollywood' from Los Angeles. According to the Post, he could head to New York at tend of September following the current season of the entertainment newscast.

A representative for 'Today' declined comment on the report, but an NBC rep shared, "He is under contract, hosting two shows from Los Angeles."
