ANNIE Star Cameron Diaz Engaged to Musician Benji Madden

US Weekly reports exclusively that actress Cameron Diaz is engaged to rocker Benji Madden. The couple went public with their relationship in May of 2014 and decided to tie the know after only seven-months of dating. 42-year-old Diaz previously dated former 'NSync star Justin Timberlake.

A source told Us Weekly, "Everyone thinks it's wild but are so happy for them. Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that."

This fall, a source told the magazine that 35-year-old Madden, whose twin brother is married to Nicole Richie, is an old-fashioned kind of guy. "He is more traditional then her," they revealed. "She really doesn't care about getting married but wants babies. He wants to get engaged and married first."

During an appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, Nicole Richie told host Andy Cohen that she was excited about the blossoming romance. "I approve of anything that's going to make Benj happy." She later claimed that she was involved in arranging the couple's first meeting. "I'm going to take responsibility for everything!," she gushed.

Another source told Us, "Billie has been gushing about Cameron's new relationship. She absolutely loves Benji and she hopes this is the man her daughter will finally settle down with." Diaz will soon be seen in the role of 'Miss Hannigan' in an upcoming reboot of Broadway's ANNIE.
