Based on Nielsen's TV playback data for the week, ABC's Modern Family picked up +2.5 Adult 18-49 rating points and +4.99 million viewers in the Live + 7 numbers, qualifying as this season's biggest gains via time-shifted viewing for a single telecast. In fact, Modern Family has delivered the two biggest time-shifted gains among young adults so far this season with its 12/12/12 (+2.5 rating points) and 10/24/12 (+2.4 rating points) telecasts. For the 2nd week in a row, Grey's Anatomy was the week's biggest drama gainer in Adults 18-49, as the winter finale of the ABC drama added on +1.6 rating points to its originally reported Live + Same Day number.
Also for the 2nd consecutive week, Grey's Anatomy emerged as TV's #1 drama for the week in Adults 18-49 (4.5 rating), leapfrogging over CBS' Criminal Minds (4.4) in the final Live + 7 numbers. In the initially reported Live + Same Day ratings, the CBS drama was the top-rated drama for the week, by a margin of 2-tenths of a rating point.· ABC had 4 telecasts add on more 2.00 million viewers over their originally reported L+SD numbers: Modern Family (+4.99 million), Grey's Anatomy (+3.49 million), Scandal (+2.52 million) and Private Practice (+2.17 million).· Among Adults 18-49, 4 of ABC's series registered substantial ratings increases of at least 1.0 rating point, two of which ranked among the Top 3 biggest gainers: Modern Family - #1 (+2.5 rating - 4.2 to 6.7), Grey's Anatomy - #3 (+1.6 rating - 2.9 to 4.5), Scandal (+1.0 rating - 2.4 to 3.4) and Private Practice (+1.0 rating - 1.2 to 2.2).Please note: Several of ABC's series did not air during the holiday week.Videos
